SCOTTISH Labour were accused of being a “shambles” last night, after revealing that their manifesto won’t be published until eight days before the election, writes Andrew Learmonth.

Nicola Sturgeon tweeted: “Is it not ready yet or do they just not want folk to read it? #shambles.”

Labour hit back by saying they would be publishing their manifesto after the SNP to stop Sturgeon’s party just copying and pasting what they had written.

Scotland’s 700,000 postal voters hit the doorstep tomorrow. Only Ukip, the Greens and Tories have published their manifestos so far.

An SNP spokesperson said: “This shows utter disrespect to the voters.”

A Labour source rubbished the SNP’s claims, saying: “We always planned to publish at this time.”
