WITH Scotland caught in a constitutional crisis over Brexit, I find myself thinking again about the promise that voting No in 2014 would guarantee Scotland's place in the EU.
Three short years after the vote, Scotland is now in a position where not only does it face leaving the EU despite overwhelmingly voting to remain within it, but also of having key powers that should have been devolved back to our parliament blocked by Westminster.
Last year The National released a video outlining many of the broken promises of Better Together. Those promises are reminders of a campaign fought with no intention of truly following through on what it committed itself to - not unlike Boris Johnson and his magic, numerical bus.
As it's the anniversary of the independence referendum, it seems a good time to take that video out of the archive and remind ourselves how quickly the promises of the No campaign fell apart after the morning of the 19th of September, 2014.
