MORE than 1,000 protesters have sent a message to Westminster – the fight for independence will continue.

They took to the streets of Glasgow over the weekend in a procession with a purpose.

“We are showing our determined support for Scotland to be independent and to make a clear statement to Westminster and Holyrood that we want independence as soon as possible,” said organiser Neil Mackay. “And we are going to sustainably march for independence at regular intervals until this is realised.

The march came after Prime Minister David Cameron said that the referendum vote was “decisive”, as he ruled out a second poll.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, speaking in Hong Kong, say Cameron could not “stand in the way” of a second referendum, if the “majority of people in Scotland want it”.
