A PUB and restaurant in the south side of Glasgow has been put up for sale.
The Bungo Bar and Kitchen is located in Strathbungo and is described as a well-established neighbourhood opportunity in an area previously named one of the best places to live in the UK.
Smith and Clough Business Associated has described the area surrounding the bar as “desirable and densely populated”.

The agent said: “Our clients established The Bungo in December 2011 and were one of the frontrunners in making the Strathbungo eating and drinking scene the vibrant circuit that it is today.
“The business is obviously well established in the area and is something of a local institution, with a loyal and regular clientele with good mix of custom including young professionals, students and families as well as tourists and visitors to Queens Park and surrounding amenities.
“The Bungo enjoys an excellent reputation for its quality food and service, all served in a relaxed environment with a real neighbourhood spirit, serving up a variety of contemporary menus including brunch, small plates, a la carte, as well as catering for vegans and gluten free.”
The agent continued: “The Bungo is also extremely popular with people just having a drink, with an extensive drinks menu featuring beers, wines, cocktails, spirits and soft drinks, as well as for people just wanting to grab a coffee or have a business meeting.
“The Bungo is a real hub of the community and plays host to a weekly pub quiz as well as hosting a variety of themed food and drink nights, comedy nights, improv nights, chess nights and still life-painting classes.
“The basement is also popular for function hire for events such as birthdays, christenings and funerals.”

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
