SCOTTISH independence supporters have taken to the streets of Glasgow showing their support for leaving the Union on the day of the King’s coronation.

The All Under One Banner march travelled from Kevingrove Park to Glasgow Green, where a number of pro-republic speakers will give speeches at a rally.

Footage showed supporters chanting: “What do we want? Independence! When do we want it? Now!”

The speakers at the rally will include former SNP leadership candidate Ash Regan. Kate Forbes had been due to speak, but pulled out on Saturday morning due to ill-health.

Humza Yousaf had also suggested he would attend, but is in London at the coronation in his role as First Minister.
