THE Tories have finally got round to suspending their castle-dwelling, council-tax-dodging Aberdeenshire councilor.

Sebastian Leslie – father of Game of Thrones actor Rose – is understood to owe the local authority about £2500.

Earlier this year, Leslie, who was elected last year, said he was not paying his as a protest against corruption in the Scottish banking system.

"I will get up to date," he told the BBC.

"Everybody has to pay their council tax, if they don't they go to court. I have not been to court.

"I'm paying an agreed amount every month. It's acceptable under the law, but it's a go-slow."

A Tory party spokesman said: "Councillor Leslie has been suspended from the Scottish Conservative Party. We will not be making any further comment."

Under the local government finance act, councillor who are in arrears, are not allowed to vote on budget debates.
