JK Rowling took to Twitter to accuse the Yes movement of xenophobia – and she was taken to task over the claims.

But some of us are getting mighty tired of Scottish nationalist insistence that their nationalism is nothing like the other, nasty kinds, in the face of considerable evidence to the contrary.

Rowling has 14.5 million followers on Twitter, many being fans of her book series. It was important to let them know that xenophobia is what our movement fights, not supports.
And Twitter didn't disappoint in challenging her on the claims.

We feel the SNP stance is definitely a pro-Scotland one and they are vehemently against any anti-Englishness. There will always be the odd malcontent moron, but they are not representative at all of the majority of Scots, not indeed of independence supporters.
