A SCOTTISH software company is giving delegates to a major health conference deep in the heart of Texas the opportunity to sample Glasgow life with a recreation of their favourite pub at the San Antonio event.
SHE Software created a replica of renowned whisky pub The Pot Still, in Hope Street, for the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) conference in San Antonio.
Built against a backdrop of The Pot Still’s collection over more than 700 whiskies from around the world, the software firm also borrowed the pub’s doormat to add a touch of realism.
Chris Beaumont, its vice-president of marketing, said: “When planning for this conference, we knew we wanted to do something bold to catch people’s attention and encourage them to come and find out more.
“We were keen to give a nod to our Scottish roots, and what better way to do this than to recreate one of Glasgow’s legendary pubs famous for its extraordinary whisky collection?”
Last month, SHE Software launched in North America opening its first US office in Chicago.
From there it markets its core product Assure, a configurable package that makes health and safety real-time and predictive.
Beaumont added: “Having announced our expansion to the US last month, this conference has provided us with an ideal opportunity to build on our reputation in the States, by meeting with some of the best and brightest minds in the country’s health and safety sector.”
