WE can't say we were surprised when we heard the announcement that Arlene Foster would be attending an Orange Order march in Cowdenbeath. We did, however, think that she probably has more important things to be worrying about in Northern Ireland.
As if Stormont currently being without a government wasn't enough – not to mention the fact that the Brexit border issue with their southern neighbours is still unresolved – Foster thinks her time would be better served making "a point to Nicola Sturgeon about a second vote on Scottish independence”.
Twitter, as expected, was quick to respond and we have picked out some of the best ones for you.

You could pretty much throw the “struggling to believe Arlene Foster thinks this is a good idea” tag onto anything Arlene afoster thinks.

The only thing that this march will prove is that these aggressive unionist rallies require 10 times more policing than our peaceful #indyref2 marches, can't recall any #indyref or indeed any @theSNP event that required armed police to be in attendance...https://t.co/yzSZi4Y0NU

If Foster's happy to interfere with Scottish politics, presumably she's fine with Scottish MPs in Westminster voting to extend abortion rights to #NI

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
