The National:

Happy Growth Commission Day everyone.

As the SNP release their long-awaited commission looking into how an independent Scotland could run, the i has led on the news that skilled workers and migrants could get a tax break for moving to the newly  independent nation.

The National:

The Scottish Daily Mail has also led with the same story - though you can almost hear the disdain dripping off the word "migrant" on their cover.

The National:

The Mail is also focusing on the line that Scotland needs to attract more workers because its tax bands are slightly higher. Of course in reality it's because of Westminster's awful immigration policies and our ageing population, but it wouldn't be a Mail cover without a dig at the SNP.

Throwing a surpising curve ball into today's media coverage, the Scottish Daily Express has taken some inspiration from Red Dawn (the original 1984 movie, obviously) and pulled a cover right out of the Cold War.

The National:

More than that, yer actual Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson (who recently said we might need to use nuclear weapons in the future if there were cuts made to the defence budget) has written for them exclusively today.

The Herald too have side-stepped the Growth Commission, relegating it to a smaller box on the cover.

The National:

They've led with the latest news on NHS Tayside, as it was revealed that NHS directors "put pressure" on the auditor over charity cash.

The Scotsman has led with the Growth Commission story too, HOWEVER...

The National:

None of that can hold a candle to our coverage today.
