Robbie’s War: The Rise and Fall of a Playboy Billionaire, BBC2, 11.15pm
The Iranian-born Tchenguiz brothers, Robbie and Vincent, became two of the London’s biggest landlords during the 1980s, owning more than 600 buildings – said to be worth £4.5 billion – at their peak. Robbie, in particular, enjoyed lavish parties, but his fortune was badly hit by the Icelandic banking crisis. This programme tells the story of his bid to salvage his crumbled empire.

24 Hours in Police Custody, C4, 9pm
NEW series. The documentary following the work of Bedfordshire Police returns, beginning with a case in which a woman’s body has been found abandoned in overgrown grassland. It appears she has bled to death. As a forensic team combs the grass for clues, detectives from the major crime unit begin their investigation by conducting house-to-house inquiries to try and establish her final movements.

Manchester: A Year of Hate Crime , C4, 10.35pm
DOCUMENTARY filmed over the past year in Greater Manchester at a time when the city experienced its worst terror attack in living memory – the Manchester Arena bombing. The fall-out from that added to existing tensions in one of the country’s most multicultural regions. This programme takes viewers to the frontline of racial and religious hatred.
