CRAIG GORDON (7) The Celtic goalkeeper was a spectator for most of the afternoon. Got down from his deckchair in time to palm away a low Jason Holt shot in the first half while mopped up the odd half chance after the break.
MIKAEL LUSTIG (8) Untroubled throughout the match, the Swede was in celebratory mood for James Forrest grabbing the third as he plucked the hat off a police officer during the aftermath. Crisp and quick in the pass.
DEDRYCK BOYATA (7) Mopped up well at the back as he had the task of dealing with the pace of Jason Cummings and Josh Windass. Was rarely troubled.

KRIS AJER (7) See above. Shadowed Cummings and didn’t offer the Rangers forward a sniff of goal.
KIERAN TIERNEY (8) Showed great willing and belief to beat Candeias with ease to set up the opener with ease. Had little to do in defence, but remained focused throughout.
JAMES FORREST (9) Never scored against Rangers prior to this one. He broke that record with emphatic style to make it three as he charged through a non-existent Rangers defence. Tormented Andy Halliday throughout and was instrumental in the fourth. Man of the match.
SCOTT BROWN (7) Just what you would expect from the Celtic captain here. Bossed the midfield battle that was only a contest for a 15-minute spell in the first half.
OLIVIER NTCHAM (7) Coolness personified. Kept it simple and moved the ball quickly through the midfield as Celtic countered with pace. Continues to grow in stature under Brendan Rodgers.
CALLUM McGREGOR (8) An unsung hero of this Celtic side. Took his goal well to make it five but his energy and fight optimised Celtic. Straight from every restart he charged the ball and fought for everything.
TOM ROGIC (8) The Australian unlocked the door to Rangers a fortnight ago. While he didn’t do that here, he heaped on the misery for Rangers with a terrific finish to make it four. Cruised the game from the start until he was replaced by Scott Sinclair.

ODSONNE EDOUARD (8) What to say about the Frenchman? Picked ahead of Leigh Griffiths who started on the bench and was unplayable at times. Showed great instinct to grab the opener while his second was a piece of individual class. Will Celtic splash out to keep him permanently after the summer?
SUBSTITUTES:
SCOTT SINCLAIR (4) Replaced Rogic with just over 20 minutes to go. Little chance to impress as Celtic were on cruise control.
JACK HENDRY (4) Replaced Lustig on 71 minutes. Helped see the game out.
LEIGH GRIFFITHS (4) Replaced Edouard on 75 minutes. Could have grabbed a goal himself but balzed over the bar.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
