The MET Office have issued an updated weather warning for Scotland - but one Twitter user was quick to spot a familiar face on the map.

An Amber warning has been issued for areas across Scotland in a shape that seems to resemble the Loch Ness monster.

Twitter user @eddiebriscoe72 was the first to respond to the Met Office's tweet to ask simply "Nessie?".

The latest update warns that heavy snow showers are expected until Wednesday night, potentially leading to rural communities being cut off for several days and likely power outages.

And Nessie, if you are in fact the Beast From The East, we ask that you take pity on us and maybe ease off a little.

I thought we were friends.

Can you see Nessie in the latest MET office tweet? Let us know in the commenst below.
