SCOTLAND's Jack Carlin took gold in the men's sprint at the British National Track Championships in Manchester.

The 20-year-old from Paisley beat Welshman Lewis Oliva 2-0 in the final with Bolton's Matt Rotherham taking bronze.

Another Scot, Katie Archibald, won her second gold of the championships after a thrilling bunch sprint in the 15km scratch race final.

The Olympic team pursuit champion, who successfully defended her individual pursuit title on Friday as well as taking bronze in the individual sprint, pipped Ellie Dickinson in second with Emily Nelson third.

Archibald's brother John then capped memorable night for the family when he took gold in the 40km points race ahead of Ethan Hayter and Fred Wright.

Jess Crampton triumphed in the women's keirin as she came home ahead of Lauren Bate and Sophie Capewell, while Joe Truman took the 1km time trial title with Callum Skinner second and Kian Emadi taking bronze.
