SCOTTISH landowners will have the chance to boost rural incomes and sustain local communities, thanks to a new affordable homes programme.
The scheme by Clyde Homes and Scottish Lands and Estates allows landowners to maximise their income by making use of suitable land for housing and leisure accommodation need.
Designed to increase potential incomes and address the need for affordable rural housing to maintain communities and provide affordable homes for sale, rent, or as an alternative income, Clyde Homes are now working to deliver rural housing solutions for both permanent and tourist accommodation.
Colin Young, CEO of Clyde Homes, said the scheme allows future generations to stay in their local areas instead of having to move away because of rising housing costs.
He added: “By using non productive or uneconomic land, landowner’s are ideally placed to bolster their incomes by providing both rural affordable housing to meet local need and to secure a slice of the tourist and leisure income by providing high quality accommodation.
