AN author who spent a year only eating meat from animals she had caught and killed herself is hosting a dinner at a Glasgow deli.

Eusebi Deli in the city’s West End is holding an event with Louise Gray to challenge people’s opinions on eating meat. There will be a tasting menu based on Gray’s book, The Ethical Carnivore.

Held on 11 January, the event in collaboration with Peelham Farm will cost £40, including a signed copy of Gray’s book. Wine pairing is available for an extra £20.

Giovanna Eusebi of Eusebi Deli said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming Louise to Eusebi Deli. With the event falling in ‘Vegan-uary’ it is the perfect time to talk about how we see and eat meat in this country. I am looking forward to hearing Louise’s perspective after her Ethical Carnivore journey, and discuss the future of meat consumption.”

Winner of the BBC Radio 4 Food Programme Book of the Year, Gray believes we should all be aware of where our meat comes from.
