BOMB disposal officers have been called to a Glasgow West End train station following the discovery of an unexploded device nearby.

Kelvindale station has been shut down after the discovery on the canal path near Clevedon Road.

While the station is closed, the rail lines are still in use at the moment.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were called to the scene around 11.25am on Wednesday morning where officers discovered an unexploded device on the canal path near to Cleveden Road.

"As a precaution the station has been shut but the railway line remains open.

"EOD have been called and inquiries are continuing."
