A BODY discovered in a Bo’ness property is thought to be that of a man missing for nearly a month.

Police say they are confident the body which was found in Panbrae Road is that of 64-year-old Arnold Mouat.

He was last seen on July 6 at an address in the same road and a number of appeals have since been made in an attempt to trace him. A search of the area by 59 volunteers was also made and a helicopter, dog unit and search and rescue officers were deployed to try and find him.

Police Scotland are now treating the death as unexplained but not suspicious.

The body was found at about 2:45pm on Saturday.
