Radio 2 DJ Jeremy Vine is in at fourth place with £700,000-£749,999, John Humphrys, of Radio 4’s Today and BBC TV’s Mastermind at £600,000-£649,999, then newsreader Huw Edwards, whose remuneration is between £550,000-£599,999.

Another DJ takes seventh place, Steve Wright on £500,000-£549,999; Countryfile and One Show presenter Matt Baker comes in at eighth equal with Strictly Come Dancing and Radio 2’s Claudia Winkleman on £450,000-£499,999.

Five people share tenth spot (£400,000-£449,999 per year) - Scots DJ Nicky Campbell, Alex Jones from the One Show, political presenter Andrew Marr, Radio Ulster and Radio 5 Live’s Stephen Nolan and football pundit Alan Shearer.
