A LARGE-SCALE new artwork by architect Charles Jencks will be unveiled at his Crawick Multiverse in Dumfries and Galloway this weekend.

The reveal coincides with the Cosmic Collisions event, which includes talks by space scientists, architects and artists in nearby Sanquhar on Friday and Saturday.

Visitors can make their own origami universe, try a Galaxy Making Machine and use a virtual reality headset to witness the evolution of a cosmos at a free exhibition.

Activities at Crawick Multiverse, which included performance art based on Norse myth, are ticketed separately from the talks and Jencks, Cosmic Collisions organiser and creator of the astronomy-themed Multiverse artland, said: “The whole event will be a wonderful mix of art and science with lots to see, do and enjoy including a superb and colourful performance.”
