AN award-winning Glasgow software development company has become the latest occupant at Clyde Gateway’s The Albus building in a move that brings a highly skilled team of 10 to Bridgeton.

School Cloud Systems is an educational technology company founded in 2006 by two 16-year-old friends, Robbie Beattie and Marcus Fields, who noticed that their school wasn’t making effective use of their rooms and resources.

They were inspired to create an IT solution, and their company now provides online software to more than 2000 schools worldwide to help them with booking rooms and resources and to arrange their parents’ evenings.

Marcus Fields, director of School Cloud Systems, said: “We were based in the West End of Glasgow but were attracted to The Albus because of the modern ‘tech start-up’ vibe of the building, which is very difficult to find in Glasgow. The abundance of light creates an excellent working environment.”
