MOUSSA DEMBELE could become the next Diego Costa or Olivier Giroud if he fulfils his potential.

That’s the message from Craig Gordon, the man who tries to stop the starlet striker in training on a daily basis.

The 20-year-old has been the subject of interest from West Ham as the figure of £20m has been mentioned in connection with the former Fulham protégé.

Gordon is not surprised at the sums of money being thrown around in connection with the Hoops forward who already has 19 goals this term, and believes his future value would surge well beyond that given his attributes.

“He could be unbelievable. He really could,” said the Celtic keeper.

“You have to remember he is still only 20 and there are a couple of things he could still improve.

“But for a 20-year-old his general play is some of the best I've seen at that age. In terms of attributes he has everything you would need down there

“He is big, he is strong, he can finish. He is good in the air, his hold-up play is pretty good as well.

“You look at the big strikers down there; Harry Kane, Giroud at Arsenal, Costa at Chelsea.

“They all have that style of player - and that's what Moussa is. And could be in the years to come.

“He could be a top striker down there.

“But it's great we have him and I hope we keep him as long as we can.”

Gordon added: “It's his age as well - he is so young.

“He is a striker who scores goals - you just don't get many of those.

“That's why you have to pay more for people who score goals - rather than players who keep them out.

“It's a lot of money but you can definitely see why big clubs would be tempted.

“The TV deals they get down there are huge, s for the next 13 - 14 years he could be one of the top strikers. That's no money at all.”
