SCOTLAND’S favourite independence-supporting newspaper is back on the booze again with another sensational giveaway of a case of top-quality wine worth £60 to get you in the mood for the party season.
The National has teamed up with Naked Wines, an online wine retailer that supports independent winemakers around the world, to offer readers who sign up for a year’s subscription to our full digital package, costing just £125, six free bottles of red and white fine wines.
Naked Wines, founded by Rowan Gormley, was launched in the UK in December 2008 and customers fund independent producers, helping to keep them in business, in return for wines at wholesale prices.
Each bottle is hand-picked from the Naked customer favourites selection to give you the full wine-tasting experience at home.
You will get three bottles of exquisite red wine from vineyards all over the world including Shiraz, Malbec and Minervois, plus three bottles of delicious whites including Pinot Grigio, Torrontes and Sauvignon Blanc.
To sign up for your free case of wine and subscribe, click here and quote TN5528 in the promotional code box, or call us on 0141 302 7733.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
