EWAN McGregor visited the Edinburgh International Film Festival on Sunday to speak to fans at an event before the UK premiere of his new film Last Days In The Desert.

The actor was joined by radio DJ Edith Bowman for the pre-screening event at the Royal Lyceum Theatre.

Directed by Rodrigo Garcia, who produced and developed the acclaimed HBO series In Treatment, Last Days In The Desert sees McGregor exploring the Biblical account of Jesus returning from the 40 days he spent in the desert.

Substituting Southern California for the plains outside Jerusalem, Last Days In The Desert also stars Ciaran Hinds and Tye Sheridan as the distressed father and son in whose lives Jesus intervenes.
