THE Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival launches on Saturday, with more than 300 events taking place across Scotland.

Highlights this year include internationally renowned author Matt Haig discussing his book Reasons to be Cheerful, a performance by Scottish Album of the Year winner Kathryn Joseph, above, and a programme at Platform in Easterhouse that includes award-winning theatre director Cora Bissett, Santé Theatre and musicians RM Hubbert, Wounded Knee and Louise Quinn.

The festival, which runs until the end of the month, aims to challenge stigma and perceptions through theatre, dance, music, visual arts and film. Full details at www.mhfestival.com
