TWINKLE Twinkle Tiaras presents headpieces perfect for adding a little bit of sparkle this party season.

Founded in 2006 by Kirsteen Connell, who lives in Paisley, Twinkle Twinkle Tiaras offers their customers something unique.

Connell originally comes from a background in marketing, PR and business. With a BA in business and marketing, she started her career as the PR for Scottish and Newcastle Breweries before proceeding to work for a technology firm.

The desire to start her own brand later occurred when Connell, at the time a bride herself, was looking for something unique for her big day.

As a competitive dancer, the Scottish designer had experience in making costumes and accessories. Failing to find exactly what she was after for her wedding, she took it upon herself to make her own jewellery for her bridal party.

Born out of a search to find something unique, Connell launched Twinkle Twinkle Tiaras with the intention of creating vintage-inspired headpieces for brides (and since then more commercially).

Taking her skillset further, she embarked upon an HND in jewellery design and began working from a purpose-built studio at her home.

Not stopping there, Connell used her education to establish her second business, Bella Brilla, a platform for jewellery designers in the wedding industry to showcase their products.

Working with designers from all across the globe, Twinkle Twinkle Tiaras has experienced significant growth since its inception and is now in its 10th year.

Recent successes have seen her latest range of headpieces featured on hit BBC show, Strictly Come Dancing. The current collection, aptly coined the “Strictly”collection, has already been worn by celebrity contestants Anastacia and Laura Whitmore.

Of her Strictly debut, Connell says: “Having the pieces feature on Strictly is fantastic exposure for the brand. The show is a piece of show-biz history and loved by people of all ages. This latest collection really showcases this ethos, with the sparkle being apt for anyone from a bride to a show-costume.”

Twinkle Twinkle Tiaras’ current collection beautifully combines headpieces with floral and ethereal nature. In contrast, it also offers rounder, art deco-style slides and hairbands with the range’s uniting edge pointing directly at its Strictly Sparkle.

Reflecting upon the brand’s recent successes and current collection, Connell says: “Incidentally, that is where it all started for me with making my own costumes and accessories as a competitive dancer, and then my own accessories for my wedding. We are looking to build the brand overseas and I am thrilled that we have gained such exposure for this new collection”.
