NEWLY-ESTABLISHED POP Make-Up Bar offers a menu of looks perfect for any occasion.

Founded by Scottish make-up artist (MUA) Ainslie Currie, POP was launched earlier this month.

Currie has an eclectic background in both the beauty and fashion.

Her successful career in make-up has seen her work at London and Paris Fashion Week with industry names including Pat McGrath and Sam Bryant. As a result, her work has graced fashion shows such as Chloe, Lanvin and Aquascutum.

In addition to shows, the Scottish MUA has been a part of editorials published in Tatler and Another Magazine. Closer to home, she is a make-up artist for the Saturday and Sunday Herald Magazine, a team she has worked with for many years.

Currie’s skills have also offered the opportunity to work with many famous faces. From Kelly Rowland and David Guetta to Alexa Chung and Sam Smith, her list of previous celebrity clientele will not fail to impress. She continues to work with home grown talent Amy Macdonald who she has toured with for a number of years.

It comes as little surprise that, with such a successful background in beauty, Currie’s next step saw her open up her own make-up bar.

Finding a unit locally in Shawlands in August of this year, the MUA was presented with a new and exciting adventure.

Currie notes: “I saw an opportunity to open a pop up make-up bar and thought, let’s do it!”

With her years of expertise in the make-up field, Currie felt as though she could offer every girl and woman the chance to look their best. She believes POP provides a destination where customers know they’ll get the look that they love. True to her word, the Shawlands-based beauty bar offers an exquisite menu of looks tailored to suit any occasion.

From an everyday natural, fresh base which subtly highlights clients features to a perfectly arched brow or the highly desirable immaculate red lip, POP offers everything a girl could wish for.

The menu also offers a classic wing, subtle or strong contouring and the ultimate matte smoked out eye as well as a gorgeous range of metallics right in time for party season.

Clients can rest assured that they are in good hands. Not only does POP’s make-up artists come with their own personal experience in the field but they have been trained in the style of the founder, Currie, herself.

With a full make-up priced at £35 (£25 with a Young Scot card) POP offers clients a look they’ll love at a price they’ll love.
