Inspector Montalbano,
BBC4, 9pm

BBC4’s Saturday evening European drama slot is about to get a lot sunnier with the return of the Sicilian detective series. But just because the scenery is nicer than in some of the channel’s Scandi-noir offerings, it doesn’t mean that the plots aren’t gritty.

In this edition, Montalbano (Luca Zingaretti) investigates when a shop burns down – and the owner is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, he also deals with a puzzling string of kidnappings, in which female victims are abducted and then released.

The Keith & Paddy Picture Show,
STV, 9.20pm

JURASSIC World: Fallen Kingdom is due for release next month but if you can’t wait that long for some dinosaur action, Keith Lemon and Paddy McGuinness are concluding their series by recreating the film that started it all, Jurassic Park. They’ll be parodying the key scenes in just half an hour – and with a lot less than half the budget. But while they may not be able to stretch to special effects rivalling Steven Spielberg’s original, they have a star-studded cast including Sian Gibson, Sally Phillips, George Potts and Shaun Ryder.

All Round to Mrs Brown’s,
BBC1, 9.20pm

MRS Brown’s Boys creator, writer and star Brendan O’Carroll dons Agnes’s famous cardigan and curlers once again, throwing open the doors of the larger-than-life Irish matriarch’s home to host the Saturday night chat show, filmed in front of a studio audience. In this first episode, she welcomes EastEnders hardman Danny Dyer, boxer and former I’m a Celebrity contestant Amir Khan and TV presenter Kate Humble.
