Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs – India, STV, 8.30pm

THE comedian and dog-lover presents his final report from Delhi, where 400,000 pooches live on the streets. Paul joins in with the celebrations for Diwali, the Hindu festival of light, with the people and animals of one of Delhi’s oldest dog shelters. He also helps a traumatised puppy make new friends, joins medics as they rush to rescue a four-week-old street pup who may have been hit by a car and falls in love with an elderly black labrador who lives at the rescue centre. Will he be able to resist bringing the pooch back to Britain with him?

Million Pound Menu, BBC 2, 9pm

NEW series. Fred Sirieix presents this new show which follows people who work in the food business as they seek major investment to launch their own restaurants. They have their concepts and branding – all they need now is financial backing. First up is Epoch, comprising chef Ruth and sommelier Emily, who have an idea to pair British wines with the best seasonal produce. And Scot Ewen Hutchinson hopes to take his award-winning street food to the next level by opening his own establishment.

Missions, BBC4, 9pm

THIS intriguing French sci-fi thriller begins with a double bill. In the not-too-distant future, eccentric Swiss billionaire William Meyer launches the first-ever manned mission to Mars, joining an eight-strong crew that includes a pair of married astronauts and a psychiatrist. After 10 months of travel, they are one day away from their destination when they receive the news that a rival US mission is set to land on the red planet ahead of them. But then the crew sends out a distress signal.

Me & My Mental Health, Channel 5, 10pm

DOCUMENTARY telling the stories of people living with schizo-affective disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar, suicidal thoughts, crippling depression and borderline personality disorder. Model Lily Bailey’s OCD means that she struggles to walk down the street without intrusive and often obscene thoughts wrecking innocent encounters with strangers. Plus, actor Adam Deacon believes his cannabis habit caused a psychosis that ended with him being sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
