YES events across Scotland are coming thick and fast and today it is Edinburgh’s turn to host what could be another sizeable demonstration of the renewed thirst for independence.

The Edinburgh Yes Hub is looking to continue the movement’s onward momentum with today’s rally at leafy Inch Park on the south side of the capital.

The event will take place between 1pm and 5pm and will feature some excellent speakers, including The National columnist Paul Kavanagh and his Wee Ginger Dug.

As we reported in midweek, there will also be an exhibition about Jacobite history.

Rain is forecast for the Edinburgh area this afternoon, so make sure and dress accordingly if you are attending.

“It is our third organised Inch rally,” said Mike Blackshaw of the Hub.

“We have involved the local community and three of our speakers are from the Inch.

“We have a great line-up of speakers and musicians, as well as the usual selection of stalls, including a tombola, a bouncy castle and face painting.

“The weather looks a challenge but, after all, we are in Scotland.”

The Inch Park is located next to the Cameron Toll Shopping Centre with access either from Old Dalkeith Road (A7) or Gilmerton Road (A772). The rally’s location is at the southern end of the Park near Glenallan Drive off Gilmerton Road.

More details about the rally and how to get to Inch Park can be found at the Yes Cafe Edinburgh South website.
