DOUBLE Olympic swimming gold medallist Rebecca Adlington swapped the pool for the classroom when she helped host a Scotch Lamb PGI cookery demonstration.

Quality Meat Scotland, which organised the visit to East Fulton Primary School in Linwood, is running a major Wham Bam Thank You Lamb marketing campaign behind Scotch Lamb, showcasing how quick and versatile it is to cook.

Adlington, who is a huge fan of lamb, inspired primary four and five pupils to think about healthy eating and showed how quick and easy it is to rustle up a tasty nutritious meal.

Adlington also visited Muirhouse Farm, Kilmacolm, to learn more about the quality assurance, traceability and animal welfare standards which underpin the iconic Scotch Lamb brand.
