A SCOTTISH firm recognised as a world leader in its field is on the expansion trail after reaching agreement on a £2 million funding package with Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks.

Cyberhawk runs remotely operated aerial vehicle inspection and survey activities from its base in Livingston and offices in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. It is also a pioneer in the conversion of drone-captured data into asset information.

Since it was established in 2008, the company has achieved more than two dozen “world firsts” including the first on and offshore inspections for the oil and gas market. It also has years of experience in survey and inspection for the utilities sector, working with key clients such as SSE.

The new funding will enable the company to accelerate growth, create jobs, develop its products and services and expand its global footprint.

Cyberhawk employs about 50 staff, with numbers expected to rise significantly in the coming months.
