TWO Scottish firms working in the aquaculture industry are set to join forces.

Gael Force Group today revealed a deal with Fusion Marine, and will acquire 75 per cent of the outstanding share capital of the fish farm pen manufacturer.

The deal, which is of an undisclosed value, should be concluded by early April.

Gael Force managing director Stewart Graham said: “Our companies are friends in the market and have worked together for many years – we are delighted to have reached this agreement with Fusion Marine.

“Our combined expertise, experience and product range will help both Fusion and Gael Force drive growth both in the Scottish market and in our target export markets too.”

The Gael Force Group manufactures and supplies equipment, technology and services to aquaculture and other marine markets, with Fusion Marine a supplier of plastic fish farm pens and fish farming equipment in Scotland and internationally.
