A NEW marketing campaign aimed at encouraging adventure seekers and food-loving culturalists to experience the best of both city and country life has been given a £40,000 funding boost.

Best of Both, led by destination marketing organisation, Argyll & the Isles Tourism Cooperative, has been awarded the money to promote tourism in Glasgow, Argyll and Loch Lomond by VisitScotland through its Growth Fund.

The 12-month drive builds on previous campaigns, also financed by the Growth Fund, #PackMoreIn and #WildAboutArgyll, which highlighted Glasgow’s proximity to the coast and countryside.

Best of Both will promote the dynamic short breaks offered by Glasgow’s vibrant culture and Argyll’s countryside and coastal credentials – found right on each other’s doorstep – which allow adventure seekers to combine a city break with micro adventures on Scotland’s “adventure coast”.
