Plans were approved for the land by Ocean Terminal
DISUSED land in Leith following be revitalised following unanimous approval of a long-running brownfield development.
CALA Homes (East) hopes to begin construction of 388 homes as early as summer after proposals for Waterfront Plaza opposite Leith’s Ocean Terminal were given the green light by councillors.
As well as 1500sq.m of workspace units, the plans include 97 affordable homes.
Craig Lynes of CALA Homes (East), said: “We are thrilled to have the backing of councillors who recognised the importance of bringing much needed new homes to the area. This site is well-known to local people and we hope to ensure that our plans bring a notable boost to the local economy and contribute to a vibrant community.”
