TWO tech businesses operating from The Albus building in Clyde Gateway – one of Scotland’s most successful regeneration areas – are celebrating after being named as finalists in the Glasgow Business Awards, organised by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.

School Cloud Systems is an educational technology company founded in 2006 by two 16-year old friends, Robbie Beattie and Marcus Fields. The company, who moved to The Albus in May to accommodate their growing team, is shortlisted in the Best Performing Business (1-10 employees) category.

Fellow Albus tenants Cloud Cover IT, who provide cloud services, software and hardware solutions, IT support and network management, are finalists in the Best Performing Business (11-50 employees) category.

Clyde Gateway is a regeneration programme that is changing the image, perception and fortunes of Glasgow’s east end and South Lanarkshire. The Albus is situated in the centre of the regenerated Bridgeton area, and is one of only a handful of speculative developments that have been built in the Glasgow city region over the last few years.
