SCOTTISH independent brewer Innis & Gunn has opened a flagship bar and restaurant location in Glasgow’s West End.

The site on Ashton Lane is the fourth Innis & Gunn Beer Kitchen, and its largest, with three floors and a total capacity of 396, along with its first on-site microbrewery.

In a nod to Glasgow’s rich art heritage, the company has collaborated with local artist Lynn Howarth to provide customers with bespoke portrait paintings made with beer, and created a series of these featuring celebrities including Peter Capaldi, Sean Connery and Irvine Welsh.

Dougal Gunn Sharp, Innis & Gunn’s founder and master brewer, said: “The Beer Kitchen Ashton Lane is a fantastic new opening for us, putting our first onsite microbrewery on the map in Glasgow’s craft beer scene will give us even more opportunities to experiment with great new beers, and we can’t wait to get started.

“Every one of our Beer Kitchens completely embodies our passion for flavour and quality, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to bring the Innis & Gunn experience right to the heart of Glasgow’s West End.”
